Miss yergert

K-12 PE

Ashley Yergert grew up in a small ranching community in southeast Colorado. Growing up in a tiny town gives Ashley a greater love for the “small town feel” and small class sizes at Options. Ashley graduated from the University of Northern Colorado last December with her degree in Elementary Education. After that, she decided to pursue fitness and personal training and earn her personal training and nutrition coach certifications through NASM. Ashley has always held a love for sports and kids, so she is thrilled to be able to combine both her passions at Options. In her free time she loves spending time with her family and two fur babies, hiking, fishing, or really anything outside!

Maestra Camila

K-12 Spanish

Hola! I am Mrs. Camila (also called Señora and Maestra), here to help you learn or practice Spanish and bring a bit of other countries to you! I have taught in a variety of teaching settings and with varying ages and levels for the past ten years. This will be my sixth year teaching at Options. I have been blessed to have experienced a couple of Spanish-speaking countries in-depth (Mexico, the Dominican Republic), and a couple of others briefly (Nicaragua, Cuba).  I didn't start learning Spanish until high school. The combination of classes and then time in other countries with friends that spoke to me in Spanish made me fluent in college.

I attended Hastings College in Nebraska for two years on running and academic scholarships, Tec de Monterrey in Querétaro, México for my sophomore year, and finished my bachelor’s degree in Spanish at Colorado State University in Fort Collins. I studied for my teaching license at the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley. I am originally from Arkansas.

I enjoy spending time with my family, church, trying to practice Haitian Creole, ASL, and French, and sometimes a jog or yoga.

Mrs. Dale

Elementary Education - Kindergarten

My name is Amy and I have been with the Options program for many years-as a parent, a sub, office aide, and even one year as co-coordinator. A few years ago, as I was wrapping up my homeschool years, I decided to renew my teaching license. Immediately, a position opened up at Options and I was able to teach some elementary classes. Then five years ago I had the exciting opportunity to fulfill one of my dreams of teaching kindergarten!! All three of my boys have been a part of the Options program and all have succeeded academically and have made life-long friendships from their time here. My oldest son just moved to NJ and commutes to work in mid-town Manhattan. My middle son and his wife, Hannah, and our first grandbaby, Elias, live in Greeley and we try to see them as much as possible. Our youngest is in his third year at UNC which means my husband, Doug, and I are now empty nesters. In my free time I enjoy walking, reading, doing puzzles, playing games, drinking coffee, and trips to our family cabin in Grand Lake!

Sarah is very excited to be staying on the Greeley Options team. After receiving a BS in Biological Sciences Secondary Education from University of Northern Colorado, in December of 2017, she waited for the perfect fit. She also had practicum hours at Greeley West High School, Prairie Heights Middle School, and University Middle School. These experiences have diversified her teaching experiences. Science was always Sarah’s favorite subject in school because it was constantly changing, never boring, and an infinite pool of ability to learn. Sarah considers herself a lifelong learner because she is so passionate about gaining knowledge. Her teaching goal is to help students become lifelong learners, as well as have the love for learning that she has. On her off time, Sarah enjoys playing with, training, and grooming dogs.
